I am starting to think they give out these freebies just long enough to get you hooked on having free meals out. This happened this past winter with Qdobas constant freebie and buy one get one frees and now we love and miss qdoba.
Einsteins Brothers bagels is again offering a free bagel and shmear to every person with a coupon (coupon good from 5/3/10 – 5/9/10). Make it a fun morning treat before work with the kids or head over on Sunday after church and enjoy a yummy bagel and shmear with the family all for free. Or if you are creative take them home and make homemade pizzas and sandwiches for lunch.
This month’s bagel is the mango and yes some stores now carry gluten free bagels. Don’t forget to print and take your coupon with you.

Carino’s has 1/2 Price Family Platters on Mondays

So I am a big fan of Carino’s yummy pastas, but the coupons have been few and far between and feeding the whole family can get pricey. I was so happy to find out that they now offer 1/2 price family platters on Mondays. This makes a $24.99 platter that easily feeds the 4 of us now only $12.50! Build a Catapult – Free (Lowe’s)

On Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 10 am Lowes will be hosting a build and grow clinic to build a catapult. These clinics are free and provide each registered child an apron, goggles, a mini-hammer, and the project kit. They also get stickers and a badge for each project they complete. I highly recommend these fun projects for any kids age 2 and over!

Celebrate Earth Day 2010 at Evergreen Lake

elebrate Earth Day at the Evergreen Lake House Earth Day Fair. This is a FREE event with food and children’s activities, fun for the entire family.
During this year’s Earth Day Fair, the Evergreen Alliance for Sustainability, or “E.A.S.-Y”, will help our Mountain community understand sustainability in its full definition of the “triple bottom line” which includes: the environment, social networking, and economic stability.
Join us at the Annual Earth Day Fair from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, April 24 at the Evergreen Lake House, 29614 Upper Bear Creek Road. Shuttle Parking is available at the Wulf Recreation Center. Admission is free and open to all ages.
Over 50 federal, state, and local agencies, nonprofit organizations and businesses will present up-to-date information on critical issues, making it one of the largest and most popular Earth Day Fairs in the state. Numerous activities are planned for children. HawkQuest will present its live raptors, thanks to funding by the Colorado Foothills World Affairs Council, the Montessori School of Evergreen, the Mountain Area Democrats, the Association of Energy & Environmental Real Estate Professionals, and the Mt.Evans Group of the Sierra Club. While you are at Evergreen Lake be sure to visit the historic Warming Hut home to the Evergreen Nature Center operated by Evergreen Audubon and attend presentations by invited speakers.

Featuring Earth Day 5k, Dirt Day Adventure Challenge, Family Activities, Sustainability Expo, Organic Food, Music, and a Wine and Beer Garden
Boulder, Colorado – Earthfest Boulder, a celebration of sustainability and community, invites the Front Range community to celebrate its second year on Sunday, April 25th from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM in downtown Boulder’s Central Park.
Earthfest Boulder is a free, family-friendly outdoor event expected to attract a diverse audience with a unique mix of athletic, artistic, and educational activities. The event will honor Earth Day in a new way with the theme of “sustainability edutainment.” Located in scenic downtown Boulder, guests will enjoy local organic food and live entertainment, access to over 100 sustainable businesses & organizations, and hands-on activities such as recreation clinics, renewable energy demos, fly fishing & climbing, sustainable crafts and a speaker symposium put on by the Center for ReSource Conservation.
Earthfest will also feature musical performances for both children and adults in the bandshell. Among the musical guests will be local educator and children’s nature musician, Jeff Kagan. Jeff is the Lead Instructor at the Thorne Ecological Institute as well as co-leader of the city’s Meadow Music nature programs. He loves using his guitar to share his love and appreciation for the Rockies. Local Americana/bluegrass rockers 18 Switchbacks are also scheduled to perform, as well as other artists to be announced soon!
In addition, the locally popular annual CRC Earth Day 5k run/walk race will precede the day’s festivities at the CU Research Park on Colorado Avenue. Race participants and attendees are encouraged to continue their post-race activities at Earthfest – and also to leave their cars at home in favor of arriving downtown via the Boulder Creek Pathway.
